Experiences

Touching makes us confront the fact of our mortality, our need for each other, and, [...] to the fact that we are undone by each other.”

Restoring the Human

Memory of change is lodged in our bodies. (Re)generation is plural and mutual. Getting back into the habit of weaving relationships based on care and built from a place of affection is necessarily an embodied experience.

We hold restorative and regenerative co-laboratory spaces to foster intimate relationships with the rest of the living world and its multiple intelligences. We visit biodiverse territories in small groups of change-agents, opening fissures in the everyday life (that so often eclipses the possibility of transformation). We trust the restorative potential of interspecies dialogue, and its capacity to ignite the creative power of our bodies. It unleashes our multisensorial capacity, transcending the limits of purely rational thought.

The design of these collaborative spaces, always mutant and fluid, enables a shared experience of deep listening, and practices that reveal the inescapable mutuality of the bonds woven between our body and the rest of the planet. It is a bet to conceive, narrate and live new possible realities, and to exercise our capacity for collective healing and creation in an inexorably shared world.

Refugia

Nature created small, interconnected pockets of seeds called Refugia, as a strategy for regeneration after major catastrophes. Inspired by this millenary design, we seek to create shelters in time and space for those who act as seeds for the regeneration of our world in crisis, and who often face existential exhaustion.

For five days we pause ordinary time to practice rest, and to restore the nervous system and our sense of agency, so threatened by the unstable and overwhelming present. In intimate dialogue with the more-than-human, and in a spirit of restoration (self and mutual), we share methods that redefine how we inhabit our bodies and everyday life, reframing the reciprocity that we know is possible between different anatomies and living environments.

Interspecies Activations

In order to reverse the logics of productivity, competition and consumption that prevail in contemporary systems, we seek to activate collective wisdom in a bid to reveal the adaptive, mutant and symbiotic capacity of the living world of which we are a part.

In spaces aimed at communities of practice dedicated to the multiple dimensions of the response to the polycrisis, Interspecies Activations are spaces of imagination and collective creation, to put into practice forms of (re)generation, from the awareness of interdependence between the human and more-than-human worlds. We seek to open the possibility of cross-pollination of knowledge and practices with the purpose of inhabiting together the most pressing questions of the planetary transition, and of discerning the multiple paths of a open, loving and plural yet-to-come .

Nurturing Community Bonds

Through lived experience we seek to share and expand an ethic of relationality as the basis for the design of initiatives that seek to respond to the crisis, and to cultivate our capacity to make ecocentric decisions, contributing to rebuild life-affirming systems.
